We were fishing Simrishamn today. Our result was the same as yesterday, we caught an 11kg salmon. There were about 20 boats out, but the result was poor. We heard that only about 3 salmon were caught today! Our friends in the other boats didn’t catch anything. Tomorrow me and Tomi start our way back home. I will write a better report with pictures when we are home. Salmon took VK-raksi UV color with a 20g sinker.

Good fishing in Simrishamn
All our 4 boats got salmon today. The weights were 12.8, 11.2, 11.00 , 9.4 & 6.2kg The weather was very rough and only a few boats were out. All fish took baitfish and 3 of those took VK-Baitholder. Tomorrow we start very early in the morning. My mobile phone got water in and broke, so I can't blog online but a report will come once we get back to the cabin.

Hällekis
A couple of nights left before we start to our trip to the Kinnekulleträff competition. We are fishing with Röda Baron. After the competition we move on to Simrishamn for a couple of days fishing with our Finnish friends. I am excited and longing for that spring fishing, because it was many years ago when I last had the possibility to fish Sweden in the spring time. Hope the weather is good this time! See you there:-)Baron new "boat";-)

Report from Team Marre

Hi MikaIt is hard to have better fishing when fishing alone than I had on Saturday!
Five wild salmon over the legal size and all of them over six kilo. One of them was a monster salmon that was longer than the one meter measuring tape on the side of the boat. The biggest salmon I have ever seen with a weight of well over 12kg!! It took thirty five long minutes to land the enormous fish. It took a large VK2 popcorn flasher with the new VK chrome watermelon colour baitholder behind it at a depth of 12 meters. This same flasher and baitholder was the right recipe for today because it gave me all 5 of these wild salmon.
I also caught three other legal size salmon between 61-63cm and four other under size which I released back to the lake to be caught again another day when they are much bigger ,-)
The new "Super" UV colour also worked very well today on the planer board with 80-120g.
An interesting fact was that of the twelve salmon I caught today eight of them were wild. Hopefully something will happen soon with the rules about wild salmon in Vänern
Thanks Vänern for a wonderful fishing day!!

Report from Team Hooked
Team Hooked fished Vänern yesterday. We are members in the trolling fishing club FK Trollspöt and it was their first club competition for the year. We were 13 boats and the fishing was anything but easy this day. We caught seven under size fish, but also two that we could weigh in at the end of the day. The smallest was a salmon that weighed 5.76kg and took a chrome 733 baitholder. Our other fish was the biggest fish caught in the competition and weighed 9.75kg. This monster took an SS01 "Swedish flag" baitholder and put up a great fight. We of course fished with nothing but VK products and they delivered the results, we won the competition ;-)Tight lines

Team Marre report from Lake Vänern
Hi MikaHere is a fishing report from us in Team Marre
We fished Baggerud on February 28th and had fantastic fishing!
Totally we had somewhere around 30 bleak (löja) in VK-Baitholders that were attacked by hungry salmon.
We took four of the salmon home with us and they weighed 8.1kg, 4kg, 3.5kg & 3.5kg. We also caught and released four wild salmon and we estimate two of them were between 5-7kg and the other two between 3-4kg.
Best was VK-baitholder in gold chrome 10-25 grams on the planner boards and VK-2 flasher with Swedish flag chrome baitholder on the downrigger at both 20 & 35 foot. We had a very slow swimming movement on the baits a rotation of once every 3-4 seconds at a speed of about 1.6 knots
In the last four trolling trips we have had more than 6 fish over the legal limit each time and we thank VK products for that!
We strongly recommend that everyone tries VK products, we have and are very impressed and happy.
The next step for your baitholders and flashers for us will be migratory salmon in the Baltic Sea. If anyone has any good tips for using VK products in the Baltic Sea then drop us a line team.marre@telia.com

VK-Trolling release the New UV!
VK’s new UV color was released for the first time at the Finnish Boat Exhibition. This color has been a huge success with Finnish trollers and was the best selling color at the exhibition. In normal daylight this baitholder has a light green colour. When it placed under UV light it was a very bright green UV. This impressive new "Super" UV is also soon available in the new VK2 Large model.Juha Salmela tested it for the first time in Sweden and after only a few minutes BIG FISH ON!
Coming soon to our dealers and webshop

Popular VK rigging ways
This method has worked to catch hundreds of big salmon in the sea and lakes, so try it. Rigging the line like in the picture is one of most popular and powerful ways to rig VK. A tip is to place the hook down near the fish’s bottom, which will give you an impressive difference in the bait’s swimming style. Another very popular way of rigging was a lonely bottom hole on the top of the head. Both ways of rigging work fantastic together with flashers as well.Tight lines
