"Another VK-Victory" Eloveto 2008

This year's European Champion Sami Heiskanen also won this weekend The Lake Vuohijärvi Trolling Competition. It was a two day competition with 115 boats. Sami and his team caught four salmon with a total weight of 8.175kg. Every fish they caught was on the side planers with a 30g sinker. The right baitholder for the day was the VK-Raksi colour Purple Black Chrome, which was the right recipe because all the fish were caught on that. Congratulations.

Team VK-Trolling takes 2nd place in the team three-boat competition in Lake Päijänne

Team VK-Trolling 1 took 2nd place in the Finnish Lake Päijänne competition. The fishing was difficult and only 25 of 163 boats caught fish in the two days. We tried some of our new colours and they seemed to be popular with the fish. Team VK-Trolling 2 took 9th place.

Huge rainbow trout caught!

My friend Tomi sent me an email with a picture of this huge rainbow trout he caught. He was rowing his boat in the Vuoksi River. The fish weighed 5.7kg and was 67cm long. It was caught on a purple splatter coloured VK-baitholder.

Big brown trout from lake Inari

I received a mail from Seppo about a big brown trout he caught in Lake Inari. The fish weighed 7kg and took a VK-baitholder in the red, purple chrome colour

"Another VK-Victory" Vättern September 14

Hi Mika

Today was the Volvo Club Lake Vättern Trolling Competition and we tried your baitholders for the first time ever. They were absolutely FANTASTIC! They are so easy to trim in and have a great movement. We won the competition and also won the prize for the biggest fish a char weighing 3.94kg. We are really looking forward to using them in the two big competitions in October here in Sweden

"Another VK Victory" Report from Vänern June 14

Thank you very much for the package you sent me!!I fished with some of the new VK-rax baitholders you send me, they work great We had a smaller local competition Saturday June 14 at Åmål in lake Vänern, It was the first time I try the new products you sent me We won the competition we got 4 nice salmons total 21 kg and lost several fish in the strong winds, which made the fishing difficult. I like the movment on the baitfish in the VK-rax baitholder and they catch nice salmon and trout!!!!!

Salmon report

My Friend Tapsa sent me this report about his success with VK-baitholders. He caught this nice 3.8kg salmon today in Lake Saimaa. It took VK-baitholder's new color Coho Blue Glow on a side planer with a 120g sinker. We are releasing this and some other new exciting strike colors on our webshop in the near future. Tapsa also reported catching three salmon around 3kg each two weeks ago on our VK-baitholders.

“Another VK Victory!” Finnish Trolling Championship

Team Virolainen Wins Finnish Trolling Championship 2008 in Lake Inari. They caught salmon trout to a total weight of 13.7kg and won the competition by a large amount of points. VK-Baitholder with Gulpbait/Baitrix was the winning concept. Their biggest salmon trout weighed 6.2kg and was the competition’s second biggest fish. Congratulations to the VK-Team.

"Another VK-Victory" Winners of the 2008 European Championship

Team Satunaiset Saaliit won The European Trolling Championship this year. For the first time ever they used the new VK-baitholders during the competition and took all 5 of their fish on them. Congratulations

Big salmon for European Trolling Championship

Antti Rautio and his team caught this big 15.6kg salmon during the European Trolling championship in Helsinki this June. It was the biggest fish caught in the competition and it took a baitfish in a VK-Baitholder on the surface. The competition's second biggest fish weighed 15,1kg and was also caught on a VK-baitholder behind a VK-flasher. It was Vesa (European Champion 2006) from the VK-Products company that caught it. Vesa also caught the biggest sea trout for the competition. VK users won almost all first prizes in this year’s European Trolling Championship, including the competition’s daily prizes for days 1 & 2 and the prize for President Salmon Trophy (First fish in the competition over 10kg), and a big percentage of all salmon in the competition came from VK-Baitholder, including the two biggest salmon and sea trout on competition.

“Another VK Victory!” Lake Karijärvi from Jaala Trolling Competition

Lake Karijärvi from Jaala in Finland had their trolling competition in May this year. Here is a picture of the winning team that caught their fish on VK-baitholder. The fish they caught was a 8kg salmon. The winning VK-baitholder color was number 725.

Team Pandalook

Teams using VK-Baitholders took both 1st and 2nd positions in the Åland Trolling Competition in May this year. Team PoPo1 won the competition and Team Pandalook took 2nd position. Both these teams weighed in large salmon caught on VK-baitholders and other VK-products. Team Popo1 reported that apart from catching a lot of big salmon during the competition, they also caught a lot of big salmon in their training days including a monster salmon weighing over 17 kg.
Team Popo2 caught their biggest salmon on a training day using a VK-baitholder together with a VK flasher and their fish was also a monster weighing over 16kg. They said our products are fantastic and thanked us for designing them.

One of the best stories of the competition is from Team Pandalook (in the picture) who were also using VK-baitholders and flashers. On a training day they got a tripple header and a lot of grey hairs later they had 3 salmon in the boat. Their weights were 14, 02kg, 9,3kg and 7,5kg. That's what I call a "VK Victory"
